A divine blanket

Psalm 29:10 “The Lord sits enthroned over the flood; the Lord is enthroned as King forever.”*

Our schedules leave us feeling in control. However, no matter how finely tuned, our plans are subject to the weather—of which we have no control.

And while a snowstorm disrupts life in the midwest…maybe he’s giving us a reason to pause. To take a break. After all, snow really is wonderful the way it covers over all… drapes trees, covers bushes and stacks on top of cars. Like some divine blanket reminding that everything’s going to be okay. Forget the details for awhile. Rest.

Maybe he’s saying stop. I’ve got it under control. “He sits enthroned over the flood”…and over the snow.

My…but he is good.
